Many criteria are taken into account by SNR when designing a clutch bearing. The designs from SNR are optimised as demanded by the application criteria (diameter of the tube guide, diameter of the assembly, clutch casing layout) and operating conditions (temperature, speed and load). Considerations of all of these factors results in an optimised shape of the rings, size of the balls, sealing and the type of grease used.

When does a clutch bearing have to be changed ?

The clutch bearing is in a very demanding application. In Europe, it is necessary to consider replacing the bearing every 4 years or over 90,000 km.
