Compatibility between AGRIHUB bearings and independent disc harrows: how to identify the right reference?
When we talk about agricultural equipment, we often think of tractors, power or soil cultivation tools. However, some more discreet components play an essential role in the performance and reliability of your equipment.
This is the case with our disc harrow hub, also known as AGRIHUB SNR.
So how can you tell if an AGRIHUB SNR is compatible with an independent disc harrow?

What is an AGRIHUB?
Our expert: The AGRIHUB is a hub for independent disc harrows, incorporating bearings, seals, a deflector and a robust steel housing.
It features a sealed design with eight sealing lips, ensuring maximum protection against dust, water and soil debris.
This hub is delivered ready to install and factory lubricated, ensuring reliable disc rotation even in harsh working conditions.

What is the role of this AGRIHUB?
Our expert: The AGRIHUB plays an essential role in transmitting mechanical forces from the ground to the implement.
It keeps the disc rotating steadily, supports radial and axial loads, and protects the bearing from dust, mud or stone infiltration.
Its role is therefore to ensure the functionality of the stubble cultivator and to guarantee smooth and reliable disc rotation throughout its entire service life.
Here are the different methods for checking the correspondence.
How can I identify the reference number of the hub already fitted?
Our expert: First method: the simplest
Look directly at the hub located in the centre of the disc, between the support and the cultivator arm.
The reference number of the AGRIHUB mounted on the independent disc cultivator is engraved directly on it. It may be on the side, and therefore directly visible, or on the top or bottom, and therefore hidden by the disc or arm.
If the reference number is hidden, you will need to dismantle the AGRIHUB.
Using this reference number, consult the equivalence tables available in our AGRIHUB SNR brochure.
These tables list the correspondences between the main brands of cultivators on the market and the compatible AGRIHUB SNR models.
How to identify the characteristics of the cultivator?
Our expert: Second possible method.
If the AGRIHUB reference number is not easily visible or has been erased, you can use the characteristics of the AGRIHUB to identify the reference number. Here are the characteristics you will need:
The number of mounting holes and their diameter,
The different dimensions shown in the diagram below

Using this information, refer to the equivalence tables available in our AGRIHUB SNR brochure.
There you will find the correspondences between the main brands of stubble cultivators on the market and the compatible AGRIHUB SNR models.
Is there another method for identifying the characteristics of the cultivator?
Our expert: Third possible method.
If the hub reference is not legible or is not present, it is still possible to identify compatibility based on the technical characteristics of the machine.
To do this, note the following information:
- The model and brand of the independent disc cultivator
- The diameter of the axle on which the hub is mounted,
- The type of disc used (smooth, serrated, corrugated, etc.),
- The type of interface (fastening, number of holes, centre distance)
This data will enable your agricultural distributor or industrial product retailer to determine precisely which AGRIHUB model is suitable for your machine.
The aim is to guarantee perfect mounting, optimum sealing and maximum hub life, even in the most demanding conditions.
Why is compatibility so important?
Our expert: The AGRIHUB SNR is much more than just a mechanical part. This component contains the bearings and the sealing system. It ensures the discs rotate smoothly, absorbs ground forces and protects against dust, mud and moisture.
An unsuitable hub can lead to:
- Premature wear of the disc or arm,
- Vibrations,
- Unplanned work stoppages,
- Loss of productivity.
Conversely, a well-chosen and perfectly compatible AGRIHUB ensures:
- Smooth and regular rotation,
- Better sealing against dust and mud,
- Extended component life,
- Less maintenance, for a lower overall cost.
